SOME MUCH-NEEDED GOOD NEWS DURING THESE DIFFICULT TIMES

A word from Sarah Chabli, 2019 New Generation Scholarship recipient

After receiving a New Generation Scholarship from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec Foundation in 2019, Sarah Chabli completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University. As part of an integrative final-year project, she had the opportunity to collaborate with BRP to build an automated inventory capacity management tool, for which BRP earned the Capstone Design Award in recognition of exceptional performance.

Upon graduation in April 2019, Sarah then had the honour of being awarded the O’Brien Medal. This medal is awarded to the graduating student whose efforts and dedication best exemplify the values of the University within the larger external community. “Since September 2019, I have been part of the Supply Chain and Network Operations team at Deloitte as a consultant. In this role, I apply industrial engineering concepts like logistics, design and planning for clients from diverse industries. During the current health crisis, our team has been supporting several companies and organizations in their COVID-19 response initiatives. I am proud and honoured to be able to contribute so concretely to the resolution of this pandemic, and to use my skills as an engineer to have a positive impact for society,” Sarah asserts. It goes without saying that the whole team at the Foundation is also extremely proud to count Sarah among our 2019 scholarship recipients. Way to go!
